CPT Students Win at ASCA Trials

CPT’s competition obedience program continued its record of successes at the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) trials that occurred this past weekend in Chamblee. We had two dogs entered on both Saturday and Sunday and achieved three first place and one third place finish!

Christina Shrake and her Golden Retriever, Dakota, finished first on Saturday in the Novice A class with a score of 193 out of a possible 200 points. On Sunday, Christina and Dakota repeated their first place finish while bettering their score to an outstanding 196.5. Their successful weekend also finished Dakota’s ASCA-CD title.

Kori Bevis and her Labrador Retriever, Harley, finished first on Saturday in the Novice B class with a score of 192 and third on Sunday with a score of 191.5.

Christina and Kori, along with six other CPT Novice and Open competition students will be competing this upcoming weekend at the AKC shows held at the Atlanta Exposition Hall on Jonesboro Road.
