How to Improve Your Child’s Birthday Party!

We all know that CPT has Atlanta’s best group classes, private lessons, in-home private lessons, and board training.  But, did you know that CPT trainers and dogs are also available to entertain at birthday parties?

On June 20, 2015, CPT Trainer Karen Smalley and her Border Collie, Bodhi, performed at a Dunwoody 6-year old’s birthday party.  The child told her mother that she wanted “to be a dog trainer,” which prompted the mom to contact CPT.

Mom asked whether we could construct a show that was both entertaining and educational for children of a first and second-grade level.

CPT’s Mark Spivak replied, “Yes, we can.”

Then, CPT Trainer Karen Smalley produced the event.  The presentation consisted of

obedience, agility, and trick demonstrations, petting, and even allowed the birthday girl to handle Bodhi during several obedience and agility exercises.  Perhaps it was her preliminary interview for a future career with CPT!
