Megan Sinteff Jefferson started her dog training career in 2002 as a CPT apprentice trainer at just 16 years of age. She started by observing CPT Trainers Lisa and Jeff Carroll, who were neighbors of her parents, and then by formally entering the CPT apprentice program. Megan apprenticed for two years and then graduated to become a CPT trainer. She first worked in conjunction with her parents, Mike and Teresa. However, since her marriage to Caleb Jefferson in September 2009 and their subsequent purchase of 3 acres of pristine pastoral property in Flowery Branch, Megan has expanded her role providing CPT Boarding and Board Training services.

To compound the difficulty in designing his lesson plan, T-Bone is deaf. Therefore, due to a busy work schedule and the complexity of his training, our client opted for CPT’s board training program.

To compensate for T-Bone’s hearing impairment it is essential that we start the board training process with relationship building. Before we commence intense training, we need T-Bone to trust the trainer, to feel secure amidst the trainer, and to receive indisputable enjoyment from playtime and sustenance activities with the trainer.

CPT Trainers Participate in Appie and Robert Kamps Seminar

CPT Trainers Lisa Carroll, Megan Sinteff Jefferson, and Mark Spivak participated in the Appie and Robert Kamps Seminar held November 15 and 16 in Dawsonville, GA. Appie and Robert are two of The Netherlands’ top KNPV competition and police dog trainers. They also train performance horses that are well known as crowd pleasers at Dutch events, especially when the horses work in combination with dogs and chickens.
