CPT offers customized pet training programs backed by nationally recognized professional Pet Experts. Unique to Atlanta pet training organizations, CPT Trainers have coauthored 17 peer-reviewed, military-funded canine neuroscience research studies. These noteworthy canine fMRI and field psychology studies were covered by 60 Minutes, Nova, and other major media outlets, reinforcing CPT’s knowledge of what happens within your dog’s mind.
In addition, in conjunction with Emory University’s Neuroscience Department, CPT designs and performs groundbreaking government-funded research projects that are improving ethologists’ understanding of canine cognition, emotions, receptive communication, and sensory perception. Ultimately, the projects’ findings will benefit the training and quality of life of military explosives detection dogs, service dogs, and pet dogs.
Although the majority of our business is local to our Atlanta headquarters, CPT’s staff is available to train your pet regardless of where you live within the United States. If you reside out of state, we can accommodate you either by having your pet transported to us for board training or by having a CPT Trainer travel to your residence. We have trained dogs for celebrity and non-celebrity clients residing in California, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Louisiana, Illinois, Alabama, and Mississippi and we are eager to add other states to our list.

A good enough class and my dog enjoyed it but didn't feel like the facility was big enough to actually get some exercise. I was looking for a place my dog could sprint around, which I thought in the agility course would provide, but it was a small space and he never got to move very fast or far. But it was the closest to me so for being in the city I guess I shouldn't expect a large area.
CPT has excellent dog training. Also has connections with individuals for boarding your dog in a family friendly and caring environment. Our dog goes to weekly training and we have boarded her when we go on trips. Highly rated.
Patricia was wonderful with our new rescue Lexi. She worked with us on how to greet people at the door since Lexi has issues with strangers. She also helped us significantly by modeling how to get Lexi walking on a leash without pulling. Patricia was very helpful. We look forward to doing more training.
Comprehensive Pet Therapy is a wonderful place to train your furry friend. I have seen my pup grow into a confident happy dog from taking these group classes. The trainings are based in real world scenarios and group settings; so your pup gets to observe the other pups learning and being corrected. I highly recommend this service. A trained dog is a happy dog.... And makes a happy parent.
We’ve been using CPT in Sandy Springs and have seen great improvement in behavior and obedience. Our trainer Robin is fantastic and really takes individual time with pets and owners who need it. I highly recommend!
Mark is incredible! He put our whole family’s minds at ease by giving simple Tricks for all aspects of our dogs bad and anxious behavior. This in turn calmed the 4 of us down so in a way he’s a family therapist too ;))) we really appreciate working with him in our home!! And I have loved our one on one trainings at the office. The therapy dog class was great. Affordable and got me and my pup Sadie ready to take the therapy dog exam for a program. Melissa was very nice and helpful in showing us how to help our dogs with new behaviors. I would definitely recommend CPT for any dog looking for any type of training.
