Meghan Markham has graduated from CPT’s in-house apprentice training program and is certified internally to train the majority of obedience and behavioral issues that we encounter during group, private, in-home private, and board training. Since joining CPT 10 years ago, Meghan’s thirst for knowledge has been a huge benefit to CPT.
Meghan first became familiar with CPT when she brought her Canaan Dog Mix to CPT for behavioral training. Prior to becoming a CPT client, Meghan was dissatisfied with the competence and/or philosophies of several other training companies. However, Meghan was highly impressed with the professionalism and methodologies she observed when working with CPT. While working with CPT’s staff, she experienced exceptional improvement in her dog, as well as in her own training and handling aptitude to an extent far above what she had experienced previously. Subsequently, Meghan was looking for a career change and asked to join our apprentice program. Similarly, we were impressed with Meghan’s intelligence, dedication, communication skills, pleasant personality, and love for animals. Therefore, we eagerly replied, “Yes” to her request.
Meghan is an Atlanta native who was a top point guard on the Holy Innocents basketball team. After graduating from Holy Innocents, Meghan received an Associates Degree in English from Young Harris College, a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs from Georgia Tech, and a Masters Degree in International Affairs from Georgia Tech.
In addition to her work with CPT, Meghan is the proud parent of a baby girl named Teagan, an American Shorthair cat named Rayla, and a hound mix puppy named Grommit. Meghan is currently working towards titling Grommit in AKC obedience. She is an advocate for rescue adoption, a licensed private pilot, and a frisbee enthusiast. Meghan teaches Group Classes, Private Lessons, and In-Home Private Lessons and performs Boarding and Board Training services for CPT.
