Two First Place Finishes and New Title

CPT’s competition obedience team recently achieved two first place finishes and a new title at the Novice level.

On Thursday, October 27, Wrenn Slocum and her Standard Poodle, Toccoa, earned a FIRST PLACE finish at the Novice A level with a score of 178.5 in an American Kennel Club (AKC) obedience trial held at Jim Miller Park in Marietta, Georgia. On Friday, October 28, Wrenn and Toccoa surpassed their Thursday performance, with another FIRST PLACE finish and a very good score of 188.5. On Saturday, October 29, Wrenn and Toccoa achieved a SECOND PLACE finish with an equivalent score of 188.5. In the process, Wrenn and Toccoa admirably achieved their Novice A (CD) title in three consecutive shows, which is an outstanding feat.

Competition obedience is great fun and provides an exciting avenue for continuing your dog’s training past the Intermediate level. If you are interested in learning more about CPT’s competition programs, please stop by or contact the CPT office by phone at 770-396-6433.
