Housebreaking Solutions

Stop the Accidents for Good

  • Resolve housebreaking issues for puppies and adult dogs.
  • Teach your dog to signal when they need to go out.
  • Correct "submissive urination" and excitement leaks.
  • Stop territorial marking on furniture and walls.
  • Create a stress-free routine for the whole family.

Housebreaking is the number one reason owners surrender dogs to shelters, but it doesn't have to be a nightmare. Whether you have a new 8-week-old puppy or an older rescue dog with bad habits, CPT’s proven protocols will help you establish a clean home environment.

Before You Train—Fetch the Answers Here

How long does it typically take to potty train a puppy?

While every dog is different, most puppies can be significantly housebroken within 4 to 6 months. However, with CPT's structured protocols, many owners see a dramatic reduction in accidents within the first 2 weeks.

Should I use puppy pads?

We generally recommend against puppy pads if your goal is outdoor elimination. Pads can confuse the dog by teaching them that soft indoor surfaces are acceptable for potty.

What if I catch my dog having an accident?

Interrupt them with a noise (like a clap) and immediately take them outside. If they finish outside, praise heavily. Never punish for an accident found later.
