CPT President Mark Spivak Invited to Speak at Atlanta Science Festival

The Atlanta Science Festival is a week-long celebration of local science and technology.  According to the ASF website, “Atlanta residents of all ages will have the opportunity to explore the science and technology in our region and see how science is connected to all parts of our lives in a range of hands-on activities, facility tours, presentations, and performances.”
The Festival runs from March 22 – 29, 2014.  Events are situated in a number of venues, including Fernbank Museum, Georgia State University, Centennial Olympic Park, Zoo Atlanta, Tellus Museum, Stone Mountain Park, Emory University, Georgia Tech, and other locations.

On Sunday, March 23, 2014, between the hours of 2 to 3 pm, Mark Spivak, President of Comprehensive Pet Therapy, will be one of the featured speakers for a presentation at Fernbank entitled, “Decoding What Dogs Think.”  Mark will present along with Prof. Gregory Berns from Emory University, and Prof. Melody Jackson from Georgia Tech University.  Greg and Mark will discuss their exciting research that is decoding the minds of dogs. Melody will discuss the FIDO vest that her laboratory created.  FIDO enables two-way computerized Bluetooth communication between dogs and humans.
