Lanny Nixon, a corporate banker for Wachovia and a CPT competition student, and his Labrador Retriever, Houston, recently completed a successful weekend of AKC Novice level competition. On Saturday, Lanny and Houston achieved first place out of 26 dogs with a score of 193.5 in the Atlanta Kennel Club event held at the Atlanta Exposition Center.
Not to be outdone, Lanny’s wife Kristen and Houston proved victorious out of 40 competitors in an agility fun match held in Acworth.
CPT salutes the successes of Lanny, Kristen, and Houston. Lanny and Kristen first came to CPT as frustrated pet owners. They enjoy the benefits they have experienced by training Houston beyond the Beginner or Intermediate level. They appreciate CPT’s obedience and agility competition programs as catalysts for encouraging them to set higher goals and maintaining Houston’s improvement as a household companion. Plus, they have a lot of fun.
Congratulations to our students Lanny, Kristen, and Houston!
