Zeek, a five-year old Boxer owned by CPT Trainer Melissa Cate, was recently honored by the United States Dog Agility Association (USDAA) as the third ranked Boxer in the Southeast and the fifth ranked agility Boxer in the nation.
Melissa and Zeek compete in both obedience and agility. In obedience, Melissa and Zeek have earned an American Kennel Club (AKC) Novice Obedience (CD) title, including a third place finish, and are training for their Open (CDX) title. In agility, Melissa and Zeek have earned a United States Dog Agility Association (USDAA) Advanced Snookers title and have currently completed four legs toward their Master Snookers title, including two Super Q’s. Melissa and Zeek have also earned an Advanced Pairs Relay title. They presently compete at the Masters Pairs Relay level. Melissa and Zeek have achieved their USDAA Advanced Jumpers (AJ) and Advanced Standard (ASD) titles and have achieved two Masters Jumpers legs. While competing in USDAA agility, Melissa and Zeek have earned over 20 first place finishes. They have also achieved qualifying runs toward titles, including several placements and one first-place finish, from other sanctioning organizations.
