CPT Assists in Benefit for Red Fern Farms
June 7, 2002
For the past several years CPT has been a dedicated supporter of Red Fern Farms. To help those CPT customers unfamiliar with Red Fern Farms, Red Fern is a trend setting charitable organization that partners rescued dogs with emotionally traumatized and learning disabled children attending school in the Atlanta metro area.
The program achieves fantastic, quantifiable results. Many Red Fern children dramatically improve their emotional and scholastic performance post their contact with Red Fern’s handlers and dogs. We are proud that the dogs CPT has trained for Red Fern have helped so many local children and assisted in Red Fern’s growth as a significant local non-profit entity.
On Saturday, June 15th, Outback Steakhouse, the Georgia International Horse Park, Comprehensive Pet Therapy, and others are sponsoring the $25,000 Equine Show Jumping Grand Prix and Charity Dinner to benefit Red Fern Farms. The event features some of the top show jumpers in the country and will be filmed for Fox Sports Network. Pre-event and intermission festivities feature CPT demo dogs, Topper and Piper, performing feats of canine obedience, agility, and protection.
Pony rides and Carriage rides begin at 1PM. The Silent Auction starts at 2PM; the Outback Steak Dinner at 5PM, and the Grand Prix at 6PM. Post-event live music from “Tastes Like Chicken” begins at 8PM. We invite you to observe some of the top performance horses in the country and join CPT in support of Red Fern Farms. While you are there please also cheer Topper and Piper during their demonstrations.
Tickets are $15 the day of the event. However, a limited number of advance tickets are available through CPT for a donation of $10 made out to Red Fern Farms. To purchase these tickets, please contact CPT at (404) 236-2150, reply by e-mail, or stop by the CPT Training Center in Sandy Springs.
Hope to see you there!
